About our artisans
Lupita Gomez Mendez is our first artisan originally from Yochib Chiapas-Mexico, municipality of Oxchuc.
Since she was little, her mom started teaching the basic techniques of the traditional backstrap loom. Over time, Lupita developed the talent, love and passion to create beautiful fabrics.
Now she is our co-star, the woman that transforms each unique design into reality, into a product full of value and culture.
We are proud of having her as part of our amazing team, collaborating with transparency and support while empowering talented women artisans like her.
She is Lupita, and together, we create magic with textiles.
A STORY BEHIND EACH PIECE
Artesano was founded by the Textile Designer Miriam Sánchez with a clear vision: to create home décor that tells a story rooted in culture, craftsmanship, and thoughtful design.
Working closely alongside women hand-crafters, Miriam brings together diverse collections of throw pillows and decorative art pieces that celebrate the beauty of texture, color, and tradition.
Each design reflects a careful balance between artistic expression and functionality, transforming everyday interiors into spaces filled with warmth, intention, and character.
